German Aircraft Empty Re: German Aircraft

Since its first publication in 1962, this book has earned world-wide acclaim as the most comprehensive reference on the German combat aircraft of the 1914-18 period.
Now, in a second revised edition, the opportunity has been taken to incorporate a large proportion of new photographs, most of them never previously published, and textual amendments have been added to incorporate new research findings.
The entire text has been carefully checked with original German sources and, quite apart from the wealth of statistical and historical data, there is a unique collection of three-view general arrangement drawings by the well-known aviation artist L. E. Bradford.
Over 5oo aircraft are described and illustrated.
They range from A. E. G. two-seaters and bombers to the Zeppelin Staaken 'R' types in the main section and, in the Appendices, from the A. E. G. B I to the little-known Zeppelin-staaken seaplanes of the German Navy.

The authors of this book have done prodigiously well, for they have produced a compendious volume that covers - and illustrates - more than 500 types of aeroplane.
Where else can one find the various Albatros two-seaters and Friedrich-shafen seaplanes so thoroughly and carefully described and differentiated ?
This volume is a 'tour de force', the like of which is seen all too rarely, and one's admiration of the authors industry and competence is profound . . .
    An unusually important book.'
